In 1999, Gould Electronic Materials applied its vast experience as the industry’s premier manufacturer of copper foils to develop a revolutionary new, thin-film foil product for embedding resistors in electronic packages. This next-generation material, TCR®, provided solutions for new, aggressive applications and the
performance demands of advanced printed circuits.
The core team of manufacturing, engineering, development, marketing, and sales personnel that were vital to the development and commercialization of TCR formed Ticer Technologies after Gould’s parent, Nippon Mining & Metals Co., announced in 2005 its plans to discontinue US operations. This key group continues to ensure this leading edge technology remains viable to meet the demanding requirements for TCR customers. Through their efforts, they continue to expand its acceptance across multiple electronic markets and applications.
Ticer Technologies’ unique partnership with the industry’s leading laminators ensures a flexible and robust distribution channel. Products are made to order, with the preferred laminate system and construction, and available when you need them. Ticer proactively tests new laminate offerings to profile performance and acceptance for use with TCR.
The installation of critical analytical tools and processing equipment in the Ticer facility allows the company to offer unmatched customer support. This technology investment also provides the core support for continued improvement and new product development to meet the ever changing requirements of semiconductor packages and printed circuit boards. The opportunities from timely issues such as the adoption of Pb-free and high frequency performance are just two of the many we are supporting our customers with our technology assets.
From its inception, Ticer Technologies has been committed to the electronics industry. With our new name, a fresh look and experienced staff, we are committed to becoming a vital asset to our customers and the industry.
